Chrysler Repair: Evaporator replacement, 99 van, t drain, water pan

Hello Roland,
I'd like to know the exact procedure on how to remove the front evaporator on my 99 Ply/Voy. If you know of a site that may contain this in PDf, or as you helped me last time. (You mailed me copies of the rear heater/spider tubes. I replaced them fine by the way. Even gave her a tune-up while the plenum was out of the way).  

We bought this van 6/2006. I had the a/c charged that summer and when I used the a/c, a 10~15 min awful odor like bad B.O. would engulf the cabin every time.  
Well, reading and understanding that moisture, dust and humidity is actually filtered or collected by the evaporator, I feel the NEED to remove them both, wash them and perfume them with channel #10! he,he. Of course I'll plug the openings respectfully, so no moisture enters the system.

I need the procedure for the front. My manual only shows this for the rear. Incidentally, I am replacing the comp, dryer, both expansion valves and the required O-rings at any opening. The comp had developed a rattling noise when I had it charged. No doubt it was going. But being that last yr it didn't work, it blew warm air again, I figured replacing certain components might just cure the problem.   Let me know what you think. Thanks.

The '98 manual I have shows that the evap replacement requires removing the unit from the van.
I wonder if you might not be able to get rid of the odor by opening up the drain line from the water pan that is at the bottom of the unit. It has a drain tube whose external opening is found on the underside of the van, about midline at the lower edge of the firewall/floorboard, at the interface between them. That drain opening gets clogged up, then water in the pan doesn't drain, then gets moldy, etc. Just insert a wire in the lumen of the drain to get it moving.
It is a big job to remove the entire unit so you might want to consider this alternative. Once you get it drained I believe there is some spray you can blow in thru the intake to kill the remaining mold and odor.
