Chrysler Repair: 96 Cirrus:no start, no turnover, no lights on dash, no codes, emergency flashers, cable clamp

Question
1996 cirrus will not start no ligh on dash no codes will not turn over

Answer
Hi Ron,
If you mean by 'not turn over' that there is no starter motor action, by 'not light on dash' there are no warning lights on the dash,i.e, no signs of life, then you have to think of either a discharged battery, a loose battery cable clamp, or a bad ground connection of the other end of the wire that is attached the - post of the battery where it attaches at the left strut tower in the engine compartment. So try the emergency flashers and see if those are working or not and if you have a voltmeter what is the voltage showing between the battery posts and check the connections I've listed above. Then if you can't figure out what is wrong, write back and tell me what IS working electricity-wise.
