Chrysler Repair: Whining: 98 Plymouth Breeze at front wheel when moving, brake caliper, plymouth breeze

Question
A few weeks ago my car, a '98 Plymouth Breeze, started making a high pitched whining noise. It's generally worst when I first start driving the car over 10-15 mph but the noise goes away at higher speeds or after 5  minutes of driving. The noise seems to correlate with the rotation of the wheels, specifically the passenger side front; the noise stops when the car is not in motion but starts again when the car goes. My car makes the noise regardless of turning, although turning at times makes it start if it hadn't already.  Is this as simple as a rock jammed somewhere or something more serious?

Answer
I would check to see if your brake fluid level in the reservoir has gone down from the full position. It may be that the piston in the brake caliper on that side is leaking, or if not then the brake pads on that side may be dragging on the rotor due to a faulty brake hose. You can feel if the wheel is hotter on that side compared to driver's side if that were the case.
