Chrysler Repair: Replacing ignition switch on 93 Chrysler Concord, chrysler concord, negative battery cable

Question
I was wondering how i would go about replacing the ignition switch on a 93 chrysler concord? Would be great if ya could get back to me n let me know. Thanks!

Answer
Hi Richard,
It is pretty easy:
Disconnect negative battery cable
Remove tilt lever attaching screw and remove tilt lever
Remove upper and lower steering column covers
Remove multi-function switch
Disconnect electrical connector from switch
Remove mounting screws for ignition switch
Note there is a tab on the ignition switch that indexes to a notch in the lock cylinder housing. Also, a slot in the end of the of the ignition switch fits over the shaft in the end of the lock cylinder housing. Use the ignition key to rotate the lock cylinder to align the ignition switch with the lock cylinder housing.
Then reverse the above procedure.
Let me know if you need other info.
