Chrysler Repair: 97 sebring jxi brake problems, duralast, autozone

Question
I have been having brake problems for the last 2 months now and it is getting oldddddddd. It all started after I put new brake pads on the front.

My brakes were working just fine and then I heard a slight squeal coming from the front so I decided to check my brake pads. They were very thin and the indicator was starting to scrub the rotor so I decided to replace them. As always, I went to Autozone and got the semi-metallic duralast brand which have always worked fine. I put the new brake pads on and everything seemed fine but the brake pedal still seemed somewhat spongey. I decided to bleed the brake lines bc it could possibly have some air in them. When I bled the lines I had done it wrong so I took it to a shop to get it straightened out. After they bled the brake lines it was still going to the floor so my father in law had to bleed the master cylinder. After that, everything was fine and braking was back to normal and I had new pads on. Well about a week later I noticed after heavy driving I heard a terrible squeal. It sounded as if it was coming from the front left wheel so I checked it out but everything seemed fine. After heavy braking in stop and go traffic it got even worse. It would sound like my master cylinder was boiling when I would come to a complete stop each time after I was in lots of stop and go traffic. I took it to the shop and they said the right brake line looked pinched and fixed it but it still does it. I looked at the brake line today and everything looks fine. Any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Colt,
Have you checked for the loss of brake fluid from the reservoirs? It could be you have a caliper that is leaking fluid onto the rotor or pads. You may want to remove both calipers (one at a time of course for reference to the other) and see if the pads look identical on both sides. If it is one-sided then there has to be something different between the two sides that you can observe.
Can you demonstrate the problem at the time you bring the car to the brake shop? Maybe the manager or mechanic needs to experience the symptom to know what to look for.
