where is the engine cooling fan relay switch located on a 1997 chrysler town and country mini van?

I believe that you will find the fan relay inside the engine compartment, on the left side (driver's side) frame rail adjacent to the fan module. It is there to give it extra cooling ability because it is a solid state device rather than a conventional relay. Interestingly, these had such a tendency to fail that Chryslet did a recall of them in van's of the latter 90's. So see if you can find it, by following the fan wires to the location I described above, and then check with a dealer to see if your van's VIN# is covered by the recall.
