Chrysler Repair: 97 LHS turnsignals, continuity tests, hazard lights

Question
I have a 97 LHS, the turnsignals and hazard lights do not work. I can hear a humming noise under dash so i replaced the flasher module and still no lights?

Answer
Hi Jim,
Have you checked fuse F1 in the power distribution center under the hood (top one of the three on the left side of the center) and fuse #3 in the junction box under the dash?
Other than that, I can give you the continuity tests for the switch on the steering column; you have to remove the upper and lower column covers to reach the plug for the switch:
turn   hazard   continuity between
neutral  off      1 and 3
left     off      7 and 6
right    off      7 and 8
neutral   on      2 and 3, 7 and 8, 7 and 6, 4 and 5

It would be good to determine which component is humming.
Finally, because you have replaced the flasher, you would need to look for problems in the wiring. I can xerox and postal mail you those pages if needed.
Let me know how it works out. To reach me if I am maxed out use the "rate the expert" tab where there is a comment section. I get an alert to your response having been received.
