Chrysler Repair: 94 New Yorker Alarm will not disarm with key, power door locks, chrysler new yorker

Question
I have a 1994 Chrysler New Yorker with 130K miles on it.  For the past couple of years, I can not open the door with a key without the alarm setting off.  I have to use the remote.  Is there a way to reset the alarm and or disarm the alarm.  I am not worried about anyone breaking into this car and could care less about the alarm.  Secondly, the right rear lock will not unlock electronically.  It will only lock. We have the child lock on the off position.

Answer
Hi Gary,
Thanks for the kind evaluation and comment.
No, I doubt that the wire broke just because you were inside the door, rather fatigue did it in. But take a look.
On the rear trim, here is the procedure:
I.e. = if equipped
I.e., using a door handle removal tool, disengage clip holding window crank to regulator and separate crank from door
I.e.If wire harness must remain with door, disengage clips holding power wndow switch panel to tirm panel and separate switch panel from door. Disconnect wire connector from switch.
If wire harness is to remain with door trim panel, disconnect door jamb connector. Remove fasteners holding wire hareness close-out cover to door end frame. Disengage pushpin retainers holding door opening weatherstrip to door end frame. Pull harness from under weatherstrip.
Remove screw holding trim panel to door from behind inside latch handle.
Remove screw holding pull cup to door panel and separate pull cup from door. When installing cup, index arrow outward and snap pull cup into trim panel
Lift trim panel upward to disengage channel retainer at top
of trim ant tilt trim panel outward
Disengeage clip holding linkage rod to inside latch handle and separate rod from handle.
Separate trim panel from door.
Install is the reverse.

Hi Gary,
The alarm system is unfortunately integrated into the body computer so it is not easy to disable the system entirely.
The choices you have are to never set the alarm: by never using the power door locks when exiting the car, just use the mechanical lock buttons which should avoid arming the system OR
by finding where the wire from the disarm switch(es)(part of the door lock key mechanism on both of the front doors) is broken which is why the key will not disarm the system. You might try the passenger side door key lock to see if that will disarm the alarm as an alternative means. The wire runs from the door key lock to the body computer at the right side cowl and passes thru the door hinge area in a harness where it gets flexed and therefor ultimately breaks. You would have to remove the door trim panel which I can give you the procedure for.
On the right rear lock, the problem is most likely the lock motor in the latch mechanism for that door. Again, you would need to remove the trim panel and replace that motor.
I believe this is the case because the two rear door locks are in parallel to oneanother so if one works the wiring to the other is o.k. so long as it either locks or unlocks. But if it doesn't do both then the motor itself is faulty at that door. The motor operates by simple reversal of polarity of the 12V pulse to the motor, so its wiring has to be o.k. if it locks.
Let me know if you need more specifics.
