Chrysler Repair: Security System 95 Cirrus: How to disarm?, jason ryan, door locks

Question
Hi Roland, Thanks for being here.
I have a 95 Cirrus that I just bought used.  My kids were messing around in it and set off the alarm.  I do not have the FOBS for the car, I have tried pulling fuses(this doesn't work, Starting the car (this doesn't work, and it will only run for 2 or 3 seconds.).  Got any suggestions? I am stuck.. I need the car for work tomorrow. I had to unhook the battery so I wasn't annoying the neighbors all night.

Please help Roland...
Thank you,
Jason Ryan

Answer
Hi Jason,
According to the manuals, using your door key to lock, then unlock either the driver's door or the passenger's door will disarm an alarmed situation. If neither door's key lock will do the disarming then there may well be a problem with the wires from the two door locks to the body computer which is where the system is located.. As you noted, the remote keyless would also disarm the system if you had that. There is a system self-diagnostic test that will check out the components of the system but it requires plugging in a sophisticated readout box for the test to be run. That would ential towing the car to a dealer.
I hope the door key approach will do it for you. Try both sides.
