Chrysler Repair: cooling system, chrysler cirrus, 1995 chrysler cirrus

Hi there I am looking into buying a car a 1995 chrysler cirrus and it has a cooling problem some time there is no heat and on the same hand a few min later there is heat . the gage goes to hot for a sec and then goes back to half way . what woulld you think that i would check first ? thank you michelle and do you think that is a good named car i don't no to much about them

this is a very good sing what the headgasket is on the way out this can be a costly repair i would get a price on the repair first before you bought it or have the owner have it repaired . Good cars they are and they will give you good service they are known for head gaskets every so offten . Good luck to you hun and you have a pretty name pete
