Classic/Antique Car Repair: rear height valve leaking also rear six inch brake flexy hose swollen and leaking on my 1974 rolls shadow one, mechanic friend, valve inlet

Question
I have been told by a mechanic friend of mine in the uk that i can blank the rear height limit valve off using a bleed nipple as a blank, to save the high cost of renewing or overhauling the limit vavles, but i am not sure wich pipe to blank off on the limit valve, also i need the small six inch rear rubber flex replacing on the left hand side rear do you know a supplier who will sell me the brake hose here in orlando. and a reasonable mechanic who could fit it for me thank you David.

Answer
hello David, fitting the is not difficult. the challenge is purging the system correctly afterwards so you will have to find a Rolls or Bentley tech. I do not know of any in Orlando. to bad your not closer to Ft Lauderdale where I live. also plugging the valve inlet is a bad idea, the fluid rams will make loud banging noises when the suspension travels over bumps in the road. there is a way to eliminate the ride height system but it would be less expensive to replace the valve with a rebuilt unit. let me know what you are being quoted for this repair. perhaps I can help. sorry for the delay I was out of the country
