Classic/Antique Car Repair: Brake repair on 1967 Ford Mustang, cotter pin, wheel bearings

Question
How do I replace the wheel bearings on my 67 Mustang?

How do I replace the factory front and rear brakes on my  67 Mustang?

Answer
Replace the wheel bearing by removing the dust cap. Remove cotter pin and nut and washer. Pull outer bearing from hub. Replace nut and pull hub out about 2" and let it fall down and rest on nut. There jerk hard on hub and the inner bearing and nut will remain on spindle behind nut. Simply center over nut and remove.

Make sure to drive old races from hub with large screwdriver or cold chisel. Make sure to seat the new races all the way to the collar.

Grease new bearings (grease, not oil). Tighten nut to just snug and don't forget cotter pin.

Brakes are not a solo job for the first time unless you really study one side and do the other with one to look at.
