Question
I RECENTLY HAD SOMEONE INSTALL THE IGNITION ON MY TRUCK;BUT IT DOESNT START SPARK OR ANYTHING!COULD IT BE THAT HE INSTALLED IT INCORRECTLY?WOULD YOU RECOMMENED HOT WIRING IT;[I ATLEAST WANT TO HEAR IT START UP;]I HAD JUST PURCHASED THE TRUCK.THANKS

Answer
That is a possibility, but you don't say if it turns over, the lights work, or any other electric not related to the ignition.

It is also possible the main lead from the battery is disconnected or now draining the battery.

As for as hot wiring, properly done, it is okay. Be sure you have a method of 'killing the engine' easily. That is a common mistake in hot wiring.
