Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1956 Powerglide transmission leak, 1956 chevy belair, powerglide transmission

Hello,

The powerglide tranmission in my 1956 chevy belair is starting to leak enough so that much of the underside of the car is coated with transmission fluid. I am not very familiar with transmission repair but am interested in trying to correct this problem myself if possible. Is there any chance that rebuilding a powerglide transmission is something that can be accomplished by a relative amature? Thanks.

Hi well to rebuild a tranny is a job and you must know a bit about it, settings, toqure,valve body,pressure, special tools, I would get under the car and look to see if you can see where it is comming from it  might jut be a line or some bolt might be loose. look it over real god.
