Classic/Antique Car Repair: Brake line repair, tubeing, tubing cutter

Question
Have a pin hole leak in a brake line.  Is there a kit or any advice as to how to replace just the bad section.  The entire line is good, the problem is where the line is held by a clamp-bushing wore out and rubbed metal to metal.

Answer
Hi Gene;
        OK that is no big deal, you will need a small tubing cutter and you should remove some of the line in front of and in back of the hole, be carefull when cutting it as not to bend or smoosh the tubeing . you will have to get a piece of (steel) not copper AND in NO way RUBBER (DANGEROUS) steel only ! with SQUASH COLLORS , so all you will have to do is buy a piece of steel tubeing a bit longer than what you cut off and replace it with a new steel line patch,than re bleed the line or you might have to re-bleed the whole thing it depends on how you do it. BUT do not use rubber or copper it is illeagal and it will blow out so do not use it ok. good luck Roger
