Dodge Repair: Dodge 1500, reputable repair shop, catalytic converters

Question
I have a 2005 Dodge 1500, 5.7 hemi. When I start it in the mornings it starts sputtering and idling rough (sometimes dies) about a mile into my trip. If I punch the gas it stops or stops on its own after a quarter mile. It only does this once and only in the mornings. The check engine light blinks while it is acting up and then turns off when it goes back to normal. Also it seems to do it more when I get lower on fuel. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Answer
A blinking Check Engine light is an indication that there is damage being done to the catalytic converters. At an average cost of $1500.00 to replace them I would bring the truck into a reputable repair shop for a proper diagnostic. It may only be a failing spark plug or contaminated fuel but having it checked out soon would be the better alternative.
