Question
When truck was brought the lights stayed on several minutes .truck was hit on right side it was fixed the puddle lights only stay on for about 30 secs the dealer said it was supposed to be that way.my question is if I disconnect the positive cable will it go back to oem specs.          Thanks5

Answer
If you mean the lamps on the outside rearview mirror when you refer to "Puddle Lamps", their function should be an owner programmable feature. Access the vehicle menu in the cluster and you should find something like Headlamp delay. You should be able to adjust that time spec and I believe the procedure is outlined in your owners manual. Do not disconnect the positive battery terminal in an attempt to reset the vehicle memory. That could cause a voltage spike that could cause damage to the electronics of the vehicle. It would be better to disconnect the negative terminal to perform a reset on any module that would recognize that procedure.
