Question
hello Russell, i have a 1998 dodge caravan, the heating lights, temp lights and a/c light flash sometimes and i can't shut them off. they go on and off by themselves. also my battery goes dead every two days. i just had the car starting igniton changed  with a new set of keys and i can't pull the key out in the off position, witch was the same problem i had with the old ignition. i hope i explained it alright. thank-you dahlia

Answer
The lights flashing on the heater/AC control panel indicate that the control panel has lost it memory and needs to be recalirated. This is a result of the battery going dead as often as you state. ANy dealership or repair facility that has a DRB III or comperable scan to can do this for $50.00 to $75.00 providing that the A/C system doesn't also need to be recharged. The problem with your ignition key as a bit odd. My first question would be does it actually turn all the way back to the off/lock position or just to off? If it doesn't turn back to the off/lock position then you either have a problem with a misadjusted shift cable or the lock cyinder housing in the column.
