Question
QUESTION: i have a 98 durango that the transmission is acting up. if you put it in drive and take off, it takes off in second or third gear. however if you put it in first and manual shift it, it goes through all gears fine that way. i have changed the trans and all four abs sensors and still have same problem. the abs ligh, brakelight, and engine light are on. what do you think the problem might be?   thanks for your help

ANSWER: I would suggest u get the codes from the check engine light and abs computer b4 u start replacing things.

QUESTION: i have read the codes. 1 is governor pressure sensor, 2 is torque converter lock up siloniod, and abs code is the rear abs sensor. when i clear all codes and start it up, the first time i put it in drive and take off, it does fine but as soon as i stop it goes right back to doing same thing

Answer
so u just replaced the wheel speed sensor  and all the sensor on the trans correct?
The gov transducer is inside  not outside  and the converter one more then likely need to replace the converter and possibly rebuild the tranny   the abs one  U missed the RWAL sensor in the rear differential  .
