Dodge Repair: 2001 durango, timer module, negative cable


Question
one afternoon truck keyless entry stopped working and when truck was started the check 4wd light was on, they happened in the same trip to the store coincidence? or two separate problems. think bcm is at fault but not sure have never had to to work on it since it was new. and if so where is the bcm located?thanks for helping people out,I work in the heavy truck industry and there are not as many helpful places to get information at .thanks for any input

the bcm   or central timer module is located

NOTE: Before replacing a Central Timer Module (CTM), use a DRBIII® scan tool to retrieve the current settings for the CTM programmable features. Refer to the appropriate diagnostic information. These settings should be duplicated in the replacement CTM using the DRBIII® scan tool before returning the vehicle to service.

Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
Remove the trim from the left cowl side inner panel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INTERIOR/COWL TRIM COVER - REMOVAL).
Disconnect the two instrument panel wire harness connectors and one body wire harness connector from the CTM connector receptacles (Central Timer Module).
Remove the three screws that secure the CTM to the left cowl side inner panel.
Remove the CTM from the left cowl side inner panel.
