Dodge Repair: electronic fuel system, fuel pump relay, haynes manual

Question
I have a 2001 dodge dakota extra cab 3.9 v6. My fuel system has stopped working. The pump fails to energize when the ignition is turned on. I have pulled the tank and tested the pump according to the haynes manual and measured the resistance on the sending unit, it is well within the parameters stated in the book and resistance changes as the float is moved from empty to full as stated in the book. I have also checked the fuel pump relay and it is fine. There is power going to the relay in the distribution panel. Checked all fuses and they are all working. I have checked the harnes and it appears to be ok. The book shows the asd relay but I am unable to locate it; (would this stop the pump from recieving current?) The pump is not recieving current but the sending unit within is.
Please help

Thankyou
James

Answer
the asd is under the hood in the Fuse box.  as for power to the fuel pump  the asd does not stay on all the time until the car is running  it will prim up for a few seconds when u turn the key over  that is when u need to check for power to the pump  or jump the relay in the fuse box. Also checking the resistance on the float has nothing to do with the fact that the pump is or is not getting power or if its working for that matter.
