Dodge Repair: 98 Dodge Stratus transmission problem, transmission control module, shift gears

Question
I have been having trouble with the transmission on my 98 Dodge Stratus. It runs alright for a little while then it jumps and then it won't shift gears. I took it to a transmission shop and they scanned it and said it wasn't a problem with the transmission, it was a problem with the computer and sent me to a dealer. The dealer scanned it and said it was the wiring and spent 6 hours on it rewiring it. It drove okay for 2 days and then did the same thing. I took it back and they wanted over $700.00 to replace the transmission control module and fuel pump. I didn't let them do it. We replaced the TCM ourselves and it drove okay for a few minutes then did the same thing again. When scanned it gives codes PO700 and PO725. Any ideas on what we need to do next?

Answer
When the transmission jumps, it's going into limp mode. You may have one of two problems- A. You've got a plugged transmission filter, or, B. The TCM could be detecting a slip and driving the transmission into limp mode. To fix, this requires a rebuild, which is not cheap.
