Ford Repair: F250, carpet matting, water leaks

Question
I have a 2001 F250 super duty V10 triton. I have had it almost two years, and never had a problem. Last month my instrument panel fuse blew and I lost all gauges. I replaced the fuse and two weeks later it blew. I went one amp bigger (15) and it just blew today. What could be causing the fuses to blow so sporatically?

Answer
Megan,

Remove the front interior kick panels and see if the carpet matting is wet under the front carpet areas after a good rain. A water leak intrusion in the 'A' post or roof panel areas can cause a condition such as this by entering into an electronic module. Let me know if you find the floor matting wet.
