Ford Repair: 2002 FORD ESCAPE,v6,four wheel drive, low beams, multifunction switch

i need to replace headlight switch on the coluum.do i have to pull steering wheel and air bag to do this? It is a multi function switch,lights,turn signals,high and low beams.

hey there. this is a fairly easy job. the only thing that has to come off is the cover around the the steering columb. there will be 3 screws recessed on the bottom cover, remove those and seperate the covers, there will then be two scews holding in the multifunction switch , remove those and unplug, install the new switch in reverse order.  the multi funstion switch is part of the headlight switch. good luck
