Ford Repair: headlights, low beams, automatic switch

Question
I have a 93 tbird with automatic headlight switch. The head lights just stop coming on. Even if you turn the automatic switch to off, they still won't come on. I have priced the dimmer switch and it is pretty pricey and I'm not sure if it is that switch or not. When you use the pull on switch or automatic I only have parking lights. Would you have anything regarding what switch it could be so I don't have to buy them all? Thank you

Answer
Tammy,

I apologize on the late reply as I have been very busy. First off you need to check the multi-function switch in the steering column. It controls the high and low beams and can cause the headlights not to work. The second item would be the light control module. It has an internal relay that is activated by your headlight switch. Unfortunately you must replace the entire module if it is bad.

I suggest finding a good mechanic and let him/her trace the circuit. Then you will not be wasting money on un needed parts.

Good Luck!!!
