QuestionQUESTION: I have an 1989 cadillac deville with a 4.5 engine. I purchased (from owner) it used a month ago so I haven't had any work done to it.
When I took it for emissions it would not pass and no one seems to know why. Now the car will not turn over. It is getting power to all sources. Before all this started happening it would sputter when you tried to pick up speed this didn't happen all the time. I use to have my radio stations set but now everytime I get in the car I end up having to reset them. I know that the car can diagnose itself but I need to know how to use it so I can get it running again soon.
ANSWER: 1. Ignition ON. Engine OFF.
2. Simultaneously push and hold the OFF and WARMER buttons for 3 seconds and release them.
3. Diagnostic codes will appaer and stop at .7.0.
4. I need to know what codes display EXACTLY as if you were video taping them.

QUESTION: e032 and e013 and I don't know what 8.88 means
AnswerE032 = Open MAP sensor.
E013 = Oxygen sensor not ready.
8.88 just means that you have reached the end of the code display. I should of said 8.88 and NOT .7.0.
Did these codes display only ONCE or did they each display 3 times ?.
