Ford Repair: Ball Joints - 2000 Ford Taurus, ball joints, ford taurus

I am not a "mechanic" but can handle small repairs. I have purchase to ball joints, rotors and pads online to save money. I think I can handle the brake replacements but not sure about replacing the ball joints?? How involved is that??....special tools needed that common person may not have at home??
Thanks for any advice and/or tips/instuctions you can give.

  The ball joints are quite involved.  They need to be pressed in with a machine press...not something most people have just lying around.  It's really something that needs to be done at a shop.The brakes should be fairly simple, though.  Hope this helps.
