Ford Repair: engine core plugs /// freeze plugs, core plugs, engine core

Question
 got  66  fairlane, 289 8 cylinder,
 4 barrell carb, auto trans. .
 got a detailed shop manual but doesnt
 say exactly where engine core plugs
 are located.....

Ms. Clemens,

You should have 3 engine core plugs on each side of the block, 1 on each end of the heads. This is as a general rule of thumb and is not always the case. They are round and silver and about the size of a 50 cent piece. If you need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Good luck.
