Honda Repair: Honda Accord Aerial, aerial works, honda accord

Hi Rusty,
          I have an Accord Type-R year 2000 UK spec and it was recently involved in a crash where I was rear-ended. Anyway, after the rear end was fixed up, the aerial has stopped going up and down on the radio going on and off. Everything looks intact and the Honda electricians can't find a fault after supposedly a day of looking. can you describe how the aerial works in terms of up and down sensors and what the small relay box mounted on the side of the aerial housing brings to the party?

what you want to do is un plug the electric aerial and see if it works with manual power if this does work on the back of the radio will be a blue remote wire get a length of wire fron the radio to the aerial and put wire into plug that makes aerial go up and you need a earth to bring aerial down on the plug as well
