Jaguar Repair: 1987 jaguar xj6, allen wrenches, head bolts

Hi Howard,
I'm sorry I need so much help but I really appreciate you!
I removed the center console but I seem to need a special tool to remove the plastic piece covering the selector plate? They are tiny round holes. I thought my allen wrenches would work but no such luck. Can you tell me what they are called and where I could get them? Thank you for all your help! Stephanie

With the console plate up, you have access to the cable and linkage. If you are talking about a socket head bolts that look similar to an Allen but is more like a star then a hex, they are called Torx and you can get a small set from most auto parts stores.
