A buddy a mine sayed it sounded like the starter had a bad spot but its brand new, he then suggested that the ground mite be bad but that is also brand new, then he told me to try runing a ground to the chasie do you think that this mite solve my problem? my car has 200,000 miles

Answer
Jordan, it sounds more like you either have a current draw or a bad battery. Have your battery checked at a parts store. If it tests good you have a draw from the car. What this means is that even though the keys off something is drawing power killing the battery. You'll need a automotive meter that measures amps to test for this. What you do is disconnect the - from the battery and connect the black lead from the meter to the battery and the red lead to the - cable you disconnected from the battery. Read the meter on the amp scale and this will tell you the amount of current being drawn from the battery. Normal draw is usually around 10mA or a little more. If it is alot higher start pulling fuses one at a time until the current draw drops. When it drops something in the circuit that you pulled the fuse from is the culprit and must be isolated.
