hi i have a year 2000 hyundai granduer when i drive it short distances it wont start for about 20minutes seem to start fine if i drive it longer then that please help

Hi, Clint.  This isn't a common problem I've seen, but I also don't know what engine or conrols the car has; they are likely be different from those in the 2001-2005 models offered for sale in the U.S.

So first, I'll need some help understanding what occurs when it doesn't start:

Does the engine crank?  If so, does it crank normally, faster than normal, or slower than normal?

If your engine does not crank, you should be checking battery cable connections, starter connections, and the starter itself.

If your engine does crank, the next step is to see whether you have spark and/or fuel pressure.  In addition, you might check to see if there are any stored diagnostic trouble codes.
