Hyundai Repair: 2002 Hyundai Elantra Timing Belt?, hyundai elantra, filler neck

Question
The car overheated, pulled off freeway and will not start again. Has 130,000 miles, timing belt changed at 60,000. Any advice?

Answer

Does the engine crank more quickly than normal?  If so, it's very likely the cylinder head is warped beyond the limits of machining, meaning you'll need to replace it.

Additionally, remove the cap from the radiator and look inside.  Do you see gray goop?  Is the sealing surface inside the filler neck rough or uneven?  If the answer to either is yes, you'll need a new radiator as well-- the plastic has melted and is clogging the radiator or preventing the cap from sealing, depending on what you see.
