Hyundai Repair: lighter repair, hyundai elantra, paint expert

I have a 1999 Hyundai Elantra and ever since I purchased my car the lighter jack has always been a little shaky and loose. The other day when I went to pull out my gps charger the entire jack came out with it! I'm not sure how I should go about getting this repaired without getting completely ripped off....I've heard a few different stories as to what i need to do and I'm really confused. Please let me know how one goes about getting this fixed, who I should take it to and how much it should cost or if and how I can even fix it myself etc....  Thank you for all your help!

sorry, not sure.  i signed up on this website as an auto paint expert. My advice to women for the past 30 something years on mechanic problems is to date or marry a mechanic or a rich man who can pay a mechanic. Otherwise, yes, you are more than likely going to get ripped off, more than once in your lifetime from unscrupulous men who call themselves mechanics...

Beyond that i could venture to suggest, if you allow me...to call your pastor or a pastor from the yellow pages and get him to recommend a Christian mechanic that probably won't rip you off.  But that would be politically incorrect for me to say that, or prejudiced against mechanics who work in league with devils. So sue me ...mythical ptolemy of separation of church and state is against my religion anyway.
