Hyundai Repair: 98 elantre hyundai, cumputer, relay switch

Question
My mom's car has, what I think a eletrical problem, but I am not sure. Hopefully you can help. The first indication there was a problem, the blinkers would not work. Next the car died on her while she was going to work. We jump stated it and she stared just fine and we were off to get the car home, when she seem to lose power has we pressed the gas pedal then eventually died. We ended up towing it home. We check the battery and it was dead. We put a new battery in and we were off driving for about 10 miles and then she started to have the same problems and died. We towed it home again and I changed the plugs and the air filter the fuel filter and the alternater. Jump started the car once again let it run for 10 minutes with the cables off my truck, she seemed to be runnig fine and then she died again. Jumop started it again and left the cables on the truck connected to the car for for 20 minutes. She seem top shape.  Turn on the radio, a/c, blinkers flash lights and head lights and she seem good to go. I wanted to do a test drive and it was about 7:00 p.m. and dark, so I had to use the headlights. Well 2 miles down the road she died. What is the problem? I notice a fuse labeled alt could it be the fuse or a relay switch or do I need a new battery again? Or should I bite the bullet and put it on a cumputer and goodyear? Please help.

Answer
Hello Perry,
I am pretty sure that battery is not receiving any charging voltage. Since you replaced the alternator (I am assuming it is a good one), you should check the connectors on the alternator and the main alternator fuse. If you can, check the voltage at the battery while car is running, it should be between 13.0 and 14.5 Volts. If it is lower , than it is alternator or the fuse.
