Hyundai Repair: Door Lock barrel, lock cylinder, different window

Question
I am asking about the door lock barrel which seems to have collapsed (it wont let the lock past the first piston in the lock though this piston can be lifted with a sharper object, It would seem a spring is gone).

1. Is this a common issue with a solution

2. would there be an issue swapping the passenger door lock for the drivers lock while maintaining all the functions of the drivers lock. (i.e. is it handed and is the central locking interface independent)

On a separate issue the window is folding the rubber trim it should imbed within inside itself as it rises and now the window is finishing up outside the weatherproof bracket at the top (there is a notable distance between the door and the window when fully 'closed'). Will replacing the folded trim suffice or is this indicative of track problems inside the door.

Answer
Hello Steve,
Sounds like somebody tried to break in and damaged the dust cover on the lock cylinder. Only way to fix it is replacing. You can not swap it with the passenger's lock, they operate the opposite way. For your window question, I need more info about your vehicle since different models have different window systems.
