Hyundai Repair: 03 Tiburon CKP Problem, crank sensor, last legs

Question
I have an 03 Tiburon with the 2.0 I4 engine. I'm having a bad problem where I'm driving down the street and the car turns itself off, then throws the P0335 Crank Position Sensor code. I'm guessing the sensor is on its last legs and was wondering how hard it is to change it, and how to do it exactly. I've gotten to the sensor and taken out the one bolt that was there, but now I cannot get that sensor out. Any ideas?

Answer
You're on the right track with both diagnosis and repair.  The crank sensor pulls out of the block now that you've removed the retaining bolt.  If it won't pull out, twist it to break it free.  If necessary, try to grab it with a pair of pliers.  Just make sure you pull straight out and don't apply any sideways force that could break the sensor off in the engine.

Make sure the old o-ring comes out with the sensor, and then install the new sensor and o-ring.
