Hyundai Repair: 2003 hyundai santa fe, hyundai santa fe, fuel management system

Question
My car just up and quit running on me the other day while I was driving. I can get the motor to turn over just fine, but it well not start. I've replaced the fuel filter and both ignition coils. I get fuel to come out of the fuel pump, but I am uncertain on the pressure. Do you have any ideas on what might be causing this problem?

Answer
If you've got a V6, start by checking to see whether you have spark.  To do this, take a wire off one of the front spark plugs, put an old spark plug in the end, lay it on the valve cover, and crank the engine.  No spark means you should start checking whether your fuel management system is operating.  Check whether the check engine lamp comes on.  Check diagnostic trouble codes (if you have that capability).

If you have a four cylinder, start by checking the camshaft timing.  If the timing is off, you've probably stripped the timing belt.  If okay, go back and check the spark as above.
