Hyundai Repair: fuel, fuel vapors, charcoal canister

Question
hello, i am having a problem with my gas tank, or what ever the problem might be,when am at the gas station feeling up it only allows me to pump little at a time in all it takes about 15-20 mins to to feel the car up. i had someone look at it to see if the spout was bent, they saw no visual damage. i think its the fuel pump, can you let me know what i can do to get this fixed.

Answer
You either have a blockage preventing the fuel from entering the tank or the fuel vapors from venting out of the tank through the charcoal canister.  Your fuel pump will not cause this problem.

Common causes are a clogged charcoal canister, clogged canister filter, or stuck canister close valve.  The problem could be anywhere in either the filler neck, the tank, or the venting system.  Unless you wish to do a visual inspection for damage or kinks in the hoses or plumbing, and perhaps do trial and error with some parts, your best bet is a professional diagnosis from a very good diagnostic technician.
