Hyundai Repair: air conditoner, hyundai accent, temperature cable

Question
I recently had my Hyundai Accent broken into and vandalized.  The thief tore out the center control panel containing the stereo and air controls.  After getting my vehicle 'repaired', my air conditioner no longer works.  The activation button indicator light does not turn on anymore and there is not any cold air coming out.  Could this be a result of the center control panel being ripped out, maybe due to wiring connections?

Answer
It's possible that the A/C switch is no longer plugged in or that a fuse has blown.  Also, although this won't cause the indicator to not illuminate, it's possible that the temperature cable was damaged, and the A/C runs, but the system is on heat despite the position of the temperature knob.

Since your vehicle has been repaired, I'd recommend returning to the shop that did the repairs and politely explaining the issue.  It's possible they forgot to connect something, but it's also possible that this is unrelated to the vandalism/theft.
