Hyundai Repair: I dont know what to use, huandai, warm climates

Question
I have a 2004 huandai(sp) accent and I dont know what is the best kind of oil and transmission fluid to use

Answer
Any major name brand engine oil should meet the API specification you need.  Your owners manual will indicate the exact specification you need to meet or exceed.  It'll be something like "SJ."  If the oil's API designation is what's indicated in your owner's manual or alphabetically after that (e.g., SL, SM, SN etc.), it either meets or exceeds the indicated specification.  You should choose 5W-30, 10W-30, or 10W-40 depending on your prevailing climate:  5W-30 for cold climates and 10W-40 for warm climates, with 10W-30 being a nice middle of the road choice that will work perfectly well in any climate in the contiguous 48 states.

For the transmission fluid, use *only* SPIII transmission fluid.  To my knowledge, this fluid is available only at Chrysler/Dodge, Hyundai, Kia, and Mitsubishi dealers.  In fact, many Chrysler/Dodge dealers use so little of it, they don't stock it but rather pick it up from the local Mitsubishi dealer when they need some.
