Hyundai Repair: Hyundai Sonata Power Steering Hose, power steering rack, power steering hose

Question
What are the steps to replacing the lower power steering hose on a 2000 Hyundai Sonata?

Answer
You'll need to pull the air box out to access the fittings on the power steering rack, and you'll need to take both lines loose-- they're somewhat intertwined, and you won't be able to get one out without taking the other loose.

Other than that, you pretty much unbolt it from the retaining brackets and maneuver it around until you can pull it out the bottom.  I've only ever done this on a lift, and if I recall correctly, you may need a significant amount of clearance below the car.  I don't know whether you have enough by just jacking it off the ground.

You're likely to need a 17mm crow's foot to get the lines loose from the rack.
