Isuzu Repair: 1992 Isuzu starting problems, isuzu pup, battery cables

I have a 1992 Isuzu Pup, gas, 5 speed, 4cyl, 2.3L 2bbl.  The dang thing will start the first time I start it and runs fine.  After I kill it, it doens't want to start again, I can let it sit for a couple of hours and it will start fine again.  It has a new battery, new plugs and a new fuel pump.  All of the gauges light up when the key is turned on, but it will not turn over or even try to....Can you please help me...

Sounds like your battery cables are a bit shabby Mona. I would check them for any stiffness and corrosion inside the wiring(happens quite often) Also the starter could be going bad as well or the fuel pump was not installed correctly allowing air to enter the fuel tank and causes hard starting. This is just a few things to look at but I am all ears for any other questions okay?
