Isuzu Repair: 4wd not engaging, vacuum hoses, isuzu rodeo

Question
Hey Daniel, I have a 1995.5 Isuzu rodeo. It has been a good car and i have maintained it with my limited mechanical experience.  Just recently it seems that the 4 wheel will not engage.  I have a maintenance manual and I got under the car to inspect the vacuum switching motor. The only problem is that I could not find it as directed by the manual. I did see a electrical motor positioned above and to the side of the transfer case. It this the switching motor? If not, are there some other common problems I should be looking for when the 4 wheel fails to engage?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thank you

Answer
Yes Matthew there is the switching motor by the vacuum shift motor. It should be nearest to the left hand axle-shaft above it to the left a little bit. There is however a number of things that operate the 4wd as well as alot of vacuum hoses so I would check the vacuum hoses as well. Although if this didn't help you please let me know okay?
