Question
QUESTION: I have never changed the radiator and heater hose on this SUV, now at 90,000 miles. Do heater hoses last longer than radiator hoses. All hoses look and feel good and it time for another radiator flush, what should I do. Also what is you opinion of the by-pass hose(Isuzu part # 8971676942), if I change the other hoses should I now change this one. I can barely see this hose on top of the intake. QUESTION: 3.5 liter V6 engine, 2001 Isuzu tooper LS. Thanks

Answer
Well hoses are supposed to be swapped every 2-4 years Don. Especially all bypass hoses. The upper intake manifold will have to be removed to access all hoses. No hose is meant to last more than 4 years. If it does your begging to be stranded on the side of the road one day with a busted hose as the problem. I highly recommend having them replaced.
