Isuzu Repair: 1993 Isuzu Pickup 2WD Manual Transmission Wont Start, clutch fork, soft hammer

Question
Fun fun,
I've had some clutch problems (specifically tensioning) that became pretty bad recently. I took the time to retention the clutch from the adjustment--now four days later I can't get the engine to turn over. Its a new starter (less than a year) and it doesn't even seem to be attempting to send electricity. Right before it died if I retensioned the clutch a little bit I could get it to start 1 for 6 or so now its completely dead.

What are some areas to check?

Any help is great.

Answer
I would start witht checking the clutch to clutch-plate gap first. Also check your clutch fork as well for any faults. You could have a short in your main positive terminal running to your starter, or your starter armature could be jammed, try tapping the outside of the starter with a soft hammer a few times and see if that helps.
