Isuzu Repair: Passager side electric window, window regulator, good luck

Question
I have a 96 Trooper and the passager side power window is not working.  All the other windows work fine.  This window you can move up and down with your hand.  The switch just makes a clicking sound when pressed.  Tried another switch and that did not work.

Answer
Hello. Do you hear a motor whirring when you hold that switch down? If you do, then the window regulator could be broken. But since you say you can move the window up and down with your hand, the regulator is probably broken anyway. Remove the plastic door panel covering the insides of the door. You may notice that the gear on the window regulator is stripped. If it is not, then the motor is possibly defective. You might try hooking the motor directly up to the battery just to verify that the motor works.

Try doing what I've mentioned above. If you need help then feel free to contact me again. Once you've checked everything you can go ahead and send me a follow up anyway so I can help you with disassembly or reassembly.

Best Regards (and good luck!!)
