Isuzu Repair: Truck wont start, isuzu amigo, fuel injector

Question
My truck just ran out of gas and I got it towed to the gas station, I filled the tank completely up, 17.5 gallons, went to start it and it woulnd't start.  I thought it might for some reason be the battery so we proceeded to jump it and it still wouldn't start.  A friend of mine is pretty good with cars and said there is a fuel injector breaker switch or button you press when this happens but we could not find it.  Do you know where it might be or how to fix this problem.  This is a 1999 Isuzu Amigo V6 any help would be great

Answer
I do not know of this switch, but check your fuses and clean out your injectors for certain. is it turning over or is it just dead? Have you looked in your owners manual? if this does not work, call Isuzu's 800 # and ask for assistance there. I know that you should never run out of gas with FI because of the trash that gets sucked up in the injectors and you can also burn out your injectors. while i think of it, get an injector test kit and check to see if you didn't burn them out. I hope you did not, because they are at least $65.00 EACH! Let me know what happens for future reference. I have never had this happen to me, but that is about the only thing I can think of that hasn't happened to me!
I hope this helps, Derek
