Jaguar Repair: 1974 xke a/c relay, compressor clutch, pin id

Question
a/c is not working and after checking freon levels and compressor(which are ok) it appears the relay is bad. Voltage to compressor is only a little over 3 volts. Who is the relay manufacturer(Lucas?) and which relay is it?

E-type AC
Hi Jack,
I didn't do much AC work on the E-types but I did find this diagram that may help. I don't know who made the relays but the metal can relays that use the W-1, W-2, C-1 %26 C-2 pin ID were all Lucas as I remember. I never seen a compressor clutch that could operate on 3v so you for sure have a voltage drop in that compressor clutch circuit.

If you have full 12v on the white w/blue wire on pin "A" on the control switch then I think you can forget a relay as the fault. Check the voltage across the temp switch on the compressor.

I don't have a location chart for the relays but you may be able to ID them by the color codes of the wires.
