Jeep: lifters, lifter puller, valve cover gasket

hi, 99 grandcherokee 4.0 6cyl 180,000 kms
just wonderring how many lifters does it have, and if it is easy to replace and around how much should the price of doing so be. I have all the tools will be easy to replace my self or you need an expert

You will need a lifter puller to reach the lifters.  Take the valve cover off and pull the rocker arms, then pull the pushrods out.  Look down through the head and you will see the lifters, there will be 2 per cylinder.  Take the lifter puller and pull the lifters out, and replace one at a time.  Put your pushrods back in making sure you get them back in the top of the lifter and torque rocker arms back down.  Replace the valve cover gasket and tighten the valve cover back down.  I am not sure how much I will cost but the job should take about 3 to 4 hours.  Hope I could help you!
